Editing Video
- Make sure to lock any track that you don't want to edit. This allows you to isolate the track containing the video clips.
- By default, Camtasia stores all video clips in the Screen Recordings are in the Media Bin. Drag all videos down to the timeline so they are on the same track in the desired order.
- Use the slider to cut and/or paste snippets of video. Unlike audio, any gaps in video will immediately be noticed as visual dead space. If you need one part of the video to be a few seconds longer, you can cut or copy and paste that segment onto the timeline where it is needed.
- If you're using static images in your video, you can upload them to Camtasia. They'll appear in the Images section of the Media Bin. Drag the image from the Media Bin to the area in the timeline you want it to appear. You can place the image on the track above the video or sandwich it between clips.
