Deleting Browser Cookies at TCH

Baylor College of Medicine users trying to access TMC Library resources at Texas Children's Hospital may encounter issues signing in.

The process below describes how to delete cookies from your browser, which may affect the ability to select the correct network.

Please note that users who wish to remotely access the electronic resources must be associated with one of the degree-granting institutions affiliated with the TMC Library. For more information on which level of access your institution has, please check this page: https://library.tmc.edu/library-access-membership-program/

 

In Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to Tools then select Internet Options (last choice).

Make sure that Cookies and website data is checked.

Click Delete.

In Google Chrome, click on the Settings symbol (three dots) in the top right corner of the browser.

Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Scroll all the way down (into the gray space) and click Advanced.

More options will appear. Scroll down to "Privacy and Security".

Click on the triangle to the right of Clear browsing data.

Make sure that all 3 options are checked and click Clear data.

 

After you have deleted the cookie, try accessing the Resources through the TMC Library. You will select your institution and enter your credentials. For more information on the login process, see the How to Sign In section of this guide.

If you are prompted to Choose an Organization, select Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library, Open Athens and click Continue.
