What are Book Chapter Metrics?

Book or Book Chapter Metrics are a quantifiable approach to understanding the impact a scholarly book has on the scientific community. Book Chapter metrics typically includes a combination of traditional measures, such as citation counts, along with new data sources (sometimes called 'almetrics') in order to determine the full impact.
