Nursing Resources at the Texas Medical Center Library

The Texas Medical Center is home to several schools of nursing, and the Texas Medical Center Library is a major resource for the students in the various programs. Nursing students are one of our top user groups, and we aim to provide any assistance needed to these future health care providers.

This guide gives direct access to databases, journals, and books that can be helpful to the nursing student. Remember that this is just a snapshot of resources, and that you can always contact us to ask for any guidance for your information needs.

Free Classes on Nursing Research Tools

The Library offers free one-hour classes on nursing research tools:

Nursing Research Tools: CINAHL Plus and Nursing Reference Center

These two databases search over 500 journals in nursing as well as allied health, alternative medicine, and consumer health. They give evidence-based information on diseases and conditions, treatment options, and drug information. Learn how to search with precision, save your searches, receive alerts when new articles are published, and download the mobile apps.

Classes are one-hour long and include hands-on exercises. To sign up, click on the dates above.

If you'd like a class on another topic or at your institution, just contact us!
