Occupational Therapy Resources

The TMC Library is transitioning from print to online journals and books. 

The TMC Library has many databases that provide online books and journals. You'll need to create a "Resource Access" account and then log in with your HCC email and password to access our resources. If we don't have a book or article you need, fill out an interlibrary loan request and we'll try to find another library who will lend us the book for you. This is a free service for HCC Coleman staff and students.

Occupational Therapy Books (online)

The following are just a few of our online books on Occupational Therapy. To search all online books, go to the list of eBooks.  You can search by title or subject.  You will need to be a TMC affiliate and log on with your TMC ID and password to access eBooks.

Occupational Therapy Books (print)

The TMC Library is transitioning from print to online books. Most of the current books are in eBook format but if you would like to browse the print collection go to the WB 555 section.

To search for all books (print and eBook) use the library catalog's Advanced Search and limit your "Item Type" to "book."

To search for eBooks only, go the list of eBooks.  You can search by title or subject. You will need to be a TMC affiliate and log on with your TMC ID and password to access eBooks.

If we don't have a book you need, fill out an interlibrary loan request and we'll try to find another library who will lend us the book for you. (You'll need a TMC library card number to submit an ILL request). This is a free service for TMC affiliates.

Access to Disability Data - Reports on statistics related to a variety of disability topics, such as Women and Disability, Work and Disability and Disability in the US.

Americans with Disabilities Act - Links to the Act itself and other government agencies with ADA responsibilities and numerous publications.

American Association on Health and Disability - A website dedicated to improve overall health and reduce health disparities for people with disabilities through health promotion and wellness.

National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities - information on disabilities affecting infants, toddlers and children.

Disability.gov - Links to Federal websites and other sites with disability related information divided into categories such as education, health, employment, etc.

Employment and Disability Institute Weblinks - list of websites related to employment for people with disabilities.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy  Activities, Ideas and Tips - Huge listing of activities for children using occupational therapy.

OTPlan - an activity idea search engine for pediatric occupational therapy activities.   Match skills you want to work on, with materials you have, to a detailed occupational therapy treatment activity.  

StrokEngine - The Stroke Engine site provides information on the effectiveness of over 35 interventions used in stroke rehabilitation.  StrokEngine Assess provides information on over 60 assessments related to stroke. StrokEngine Family, is tailored to patients and families and uses real-life stories to provide evidence-based information and answer questions about the stages of recovery from stroke.
