Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are computerized software systems that create visual representations of data. The application of GIS to health and in particular, public health, is still a very recent development. It can be a very powerful means of displaying health data, and can also be used to create predictive models. Here are some useful resources that we have compiled, most of them being free to use.
