Faculty Services: Request Liaison Services

Resources and services for TMC faculty and adjunct faculty members

Contact your Liaison

Liaison librarians provide faculty with one point of contact for all library related questions. Find the liaison for your institution below:

Why library instruction?

A library instruction session that takes place just after the research project has been assigned has many benefits:

  • students find and use quality resources
  • student frustration is reduced
  • students successfully complete research assignments
  • students gain information literacy skills
  • instructors save time! Questions about library resources can be addressed as a group as opposed to dealing with many individual questions throughout the semester.

Liaison Services

A liaison librarian is assigned to the educational institutions of the TMC to help meet their educational and research needs.

Services provided by a liaison librarian:

  • Provides updates about library news, services, and resources
  • Discusses your information needs and the information needs of your institution
  • Advocates for your needs within the library
  • Provides orientations about library services and customized classes by request
  • Consults on literature search strategies
  • Consultation on systematic reviews
  • Teaches instruction sessions on database and literature searching, citation management, evidence-based practice, and other knowledge management skills
  • Instruction on accessing library resources
  • Develops custom online learning tutorials and guides
