    What is Bioinformatics?

    The National Center for Biotechnology Information or NCBI, defines bioinformatics as the field of science in which biology, computer science, and information technology merge to form a single discipline.

    Bioinformatics has also being described as the science of managing and analyzing biological data using advanced computing techniques. Related fields to bioinformatics are computational biology, genetics, genomics and molecular biology.
